A Wonderful Evening at ChabadCLE

Sunday, Nov 21 saw 150 cheerful participants celebrating the Rebbe's approach to living proudly as Jews in the free world.

Boys Teen Club Launch Smashing Success!

Sunday, 10 Kislev

We are pleased to announce the launch of a new social group for boys age 13 to 17. It will meet throughout the winter from 7:30 to 9:00 pm on Motzie Shabbos.

Fun, food, games and trips with a Torah inspiring approach. Eli Shomer, our friend from Cleveland Heights Zemach Zedek, leads the group.

The first meeting was this past Motzie Shabbos at the home of Dr and Mrs Porter and the boys raved (the parents too)! "it was amazing", said one. "It was so much fun", said another.

Special thanks to the Porters and Reb Eli Shomer for creating this great opportunity.

Chassidic melodies #5

Shabbos Parshas Vayeitzei, 9 Kislev 5781

Rabbi Shimon Warszawsky, our fearless niggun leader helped us to review the niggun of Reb Berl Masaiv of Kremenchuk. That city had a few chassidim  whose names were Ber, and they were called the Berelach of Krenchuk. Our Reb Berl (Masaiv) was known as an intense davener, so heartfelt were his prayers that it was not uncommon for people to become rooted to the spot upon hearing them. His intense prayers even led many Jews to change their ways completely, and become Baalei Teshuvah.

Reb Shimon  led us in a new niggun this week, the famed "Zhebiner Hartz".

Zhebin (or Zhembin) a thoroughly Chassidic city, was famous for its fine, accomplished Chassidim. Some of them were renowned for their intellectual accomplishments. These Chassidim were known as “maskilim,” for they had mastered the art of understanding the most sublime Chassidic teachings. Another group of Chassidim were known as “ovdim.” These were the Chassidim who labored intensely as they assimilated the Chassidic teachings into their very beings. They spent much time refining their emotions.

This niggun expresses the experience of this second type of Chassid, the… Read More »
